That, my friends, is 5 and a half inches worth of Odessa. Therefore, it is ALREADY time to start the crown decreases. Not bad considering that I got in almost zero knitting time on Tuesday and over my lunch hours this week (Computer conversions are NOT of the good.)
I cannot rave enough about this hat. The yarn is lush - Rowan Cashsoft, just one ball (so it doesn't destroy your budget). The shaping is clever; the pattern interesting without being unmemorizable. This combination of yarn and pattern will fit a very wide range of head sizes without any adjustment. I may have a new gift hat pattern.
