Due to the complexity of this pattern, I really can't work on it at mom's or as a travel project. With just a month to go before the holiday, I'm only on repeat two of ten. So Katie may still be getting the Irish Hiking Scarf for Christmas this year.
There is a certain logic in the pattern - it's symetrical around the center (marked) stitch. But the pattern repeat is 44 rows! I just don't feel comfortable relying on my memory for a pattern that complicated!
I've already gotten word that people want hats, so NEXT year looks like it's shaping up to be the year of the hat. Stash raiding and planning will commence on Boxing Day LOL.
