And on the stitching front



This time around on the cross-stitch project, it was all about the backstitching. Compare this beginning picture with the picture above. It's like magic what some dark outlinging will do. When you first start stitching, you are afraid the backstitching will make it look 'cartoony'. But it really doesn't.

Here is the area I had to re-design: In the original pattern and photo, the top of the anchor and its rope was a big undifferentiated gold blob. I don't know if the designer just wasn't paying attention or what, but I fixed it.

Next up is an over one stitching project that I put aside last December.
