The next challenge on The Amazing Lace is "if you bound your lace off today, what would you use it for? Post a photo."
If I bound the Widow's Shawl off today, it would have to be used as a tablecloth, on a table up against a wall (or the wardrobe in this case) so that it was not obvious that there was a quadrant of edgeing not done. But it's close enough that it COULD be used as something.
Note the 'centerpiece' of the rose stuck into the cone of yarn that is still attached to the work. And the fact that there's a piece of plexiglass between any spills (::cough:: wine ::cough::)
