The new year starts with stitching

Tereasa Wentzler's "Millennium" starts out the new year's stitching rotation. I probably put in close to 10 hours on it over the holidays. I still have the face, hands and back stitch on this angel and then Page 2 is done!

I've decided this angel is Raphael, since the other one is obviously Saint Michael, what with the sword and all. Raphael is the patron of the sciences, hence the hourglass. I've also subtley tried to tie in their elements of fire (Michael) and air (Raphael) with their cloak clasps in copper and silver. Earth and Water lie between them in the lower panel.
