The finished Plimoth Sweete Bag

Most of the crafting time this week has been spent on the assembly of the Plimoth Plantation Sweete Bag.

This isn't quite a finished object yet, because there is still a needlebook and a scissor sheath to do. Plus I have enough scraps for a pincushion and maybe a cover for a measuring tape.

I like the way this piece came together. The only thing I might do different is to put a proper lining in. Right now, there is a finished backing for the front and the back, but not a true lining that supports any contents. If this were a real purse, that would be a major concern, as the piece would be under stress when used. But this little bag will probably never hold more that the above mentioned needlework smalls, so I think that the fact that the designer dispensed with a proper lining won't be an issue.

Oh WOW! I double clicked on the image to make it bigger and it was taking ages and I was hoping that it would be huge so I could really see it but alas all I got was code! Please how can I Make this bigger to see it more better. But I do love it and admire you so much for stitching it. Happy New Year. Patti xxx
