
TaDa... If Jack Sparrow lived where you needed a wool hat, he'd love this one.
Pattern: "We Call Them Pirates" from Hello Yarn (pattern available for free here).
Yarn: "Tiur" from Dalegarn (DK weight wool/mohair blend) in colors 0090 and 4196. Lining in "Cashsoft" from Rowan in color SH521
Needles US4
Mods: a few minor technique hacks on the lining.
Notes: If I do this pattern (or similar one) again, a full lining (like a doublemossa hat) would be nice. You can see where the lining ends when the hat is just sitting there. It's not so obvious when it's being worn, though.
Comments: Well written pattern, great materials and colors. I actually like the red/black much better than the more common white/black colorway. It's more subtle, but still graphic.
