I love my dog. I really do. But she came THIS close to losing her happy home tonight. I thought we were past this behavior. It's been well over a year since she stole the project out of my bag the last time.
The above is the damage. It's not as bad as it might be. The two dropped stitches are the purl ones at the very end of the needle - NEXT to the lace and not the lace itself. So I have every expectation of being able to recover from this.
The photo, btw, is after the sock has been turned inside out. It's much easier to mend stockingette on the knit side.
But still, I was hoping to finish the leg on this sock tonight, not spend my knit time fixing.
