An Experiment

One pair of socks on the sock blockers means another pair cast on. If you take a close look at the picture above, though, you'll see that:

1) these are not the socks for my sock pal for Sockapalooza 4
2) they are not residing demurly on four dpn with the fifth poised to work as every other sock I have ever knit in my life has done.

I have not gone over to the dark side, despite my recent toe up endevor. No indeed, but I have been CHALLENGED! by knitsib Kris (who is alas, blogless). She swears by (and occasionally AT) socks via the method taught by Cat Bhordhi of Socks Soar on Two Circular Needles fame. So with the loan of that book and some coaching, I am attempting to further broaden my repetoir of sock techniques.

Right now, I feel like I did the first time I tackled dnps - there are TOO MANY ends LOL. I have already forgotten once to be sure that I am using the ends of the SAME needle - which is the number one way to go wrong with this technique, I am told. That's pretty bad considering that I'm on, let's see, about round three???
