Pattern: Toe up socks handout and Charlene Schurch's Sensational Knitted Socks
Materials: Hand painted sport weight merino by "Bonkers" from the stash. I either got it from the Yarn Barn in Lawrence or a crafts fair. I can't remember which. US 2 needles.
Notes: 4 stitch cast on, wedge toe, wrapped short row heel, cast off in Elizabeth Z's "Sewn Cast off"
Comments: NOT a big fan of either the toe up technique or this yarn. It's soft, true, but after just one wearing it is felting under the toes and ball of the foot. It also pills. The colors, on the other hand are wonderfully lush. Even though this was sold as sock yarn, I think mittens or hat or scarf would have been a better match of material and project.
