Well, I either did a really smart thing, or a really stupid one. I just signed up for my first 5K. It will be Easter weekend, and is sponsored by the YWCA. It's the ending event for 2008 Get Fit Topeka challenge. And yep, I've signed up for that as well. I won't be the biggest looser weight wise, since I've already had that first big drop off in weight, but for me this is all about adding strength training and flexibility training and stretching to my walking.
This week, I should make the jump from 1.75 miles to 2 miles on the indoor flat at Washburn or the mall. A 5K is just 1.1 more miles; I can do that in 10 weeks, right????? eeeeepppp!
