Stitches of Strength

I just found out about a local blanket project sponsored by the local YWCA. The Battered Women's Task Force is hosting a project to make afghans for the local women's shelter. Stitches of Strength will create a blanket for local display to increase awareness of domestic violence.

Since the squares for the display blanket have to be turned in by the 29th (next Saturday!), I hurried and whipped out this one during/after Sunday School. They are only asking for 6 inch squares, so it was a VERY quick knit!



I'll drop it off over my lunch hour some time this next week before the deadline.
