I finished the 'chain' part of foot on the second sock at knit group in Lawrence today. So I have just the toe and ends to finish and these will be done.
As I try on the finished sock, they are going to be just a smidge big on me. Not obnoxiously so, but I think I'll full them just a bit when both are done in order to shrink them down just a little bit. Luckily, they are 100% (not superwash) wool, so this trick will work just fine. They should be nice thick, warm winter socks.
Winter socks are still a necessity! Even though Groundhog Day has come and gone, it's still winter here in Kansas. The HIGH temps are only about 15 degrees F. Winter took a long time to get here, and now it refuses to leave!
